First page ranking – anyone who has a remote idea about online marketing will be able to tell you that only if you rank on the first page only then you stand a chance of getting mega traffic to your website. Now just think for yourself how many times while looking for information in a search engine have you gone beyond the 2 and 3rd page of the results. Not very often. Right?
People while searching on the search engine or even when searching through other websites would concentrate on the results displayed on the first page. People who search on the internet are mainly looking out for quick information and don’t have the time and patience to go beyond the 2nd or at the max 3rd page of the results.
Hence for maximum number of people to visit your site it becomes increasingly important that your site features in the top two pages. The more higher it ranks the higher the number of visitors. Also make sure that you target specific keywords which are relevant to your sites. For example say targeting your site to rank on the keyword “balls” is much difficult than ranking for “basket balls” or” “cricket balls” so be more specific and get relevant as well as high traffic.
I hope this helps you get clearer with your knowledge of SEO
